our story

This year, Vox Dei Community is embracing a new metaphor for our community:

“They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season…” - Psalm 1

Trees are fruitful when their roots go deep into the sustenance of fertile soil. For Christians, going deep means study of Scripture and learning the practices of Jesus. Trees are fruitful when they reach out their branches, yielding fruit and making space for birds to nest. For Christians, reaching out means making space in our lives for hospitality and connecting to one another and those outside our church.

Going deep and reaching out is what we are currently leaning into in a number of ways:

In our Sunday gatherings, we are in a teaching series on the Gospel of Luke. In small group settings, we are working through the book of Acts and practicing hospitality by sharing meals and serving in and beyond our church in various ways.
